Friendly and attentive staff. Great tasting food. Good atmosphere and lovely views. Need to book beforehand; possibly 10 days as the restaurant is very popular, especially with the local people. Seamus Scallops are the best we have tasted!!

Pier 17 has a lovely view and if possible you need to see if you can get a table by the main windows overlooking the harbour. Uninspiring from the outside, Pier 17 is a nice, well appointed and comfortable place to eat. Service was prompt and efficient but the best seats overlooking the harbour tend to be reserved for the locals. The food is of very good quality, with large portions but lacks somewhat in presentation. Thought it was quite expensive - but perhaps that's Guernsey!

Make sure you book before you travel as it is very popular especially with locals: there were at least 3 birthday parties when we were there. Love this restaurant. It is on the expensive side but not over priced. Well worth it. A definite choice is to start - seamus' scallops then followed by the Fierce and Firey steak. AMAZING!! Beautiful location, lovely interior and friendly waiting staff. Would definitely recommend.
