Been here many times over the years and have always been well looked after by good humoured owner. Staff are capable and friendly. It can be pricey but is still VERY good value for what you get. I've paid twice the price in other restaurants and the food has been no better. You really feel quite special when you visit... More

Food was very average, I had high exceptions and was really let down. the food was served within minutes of placing our order, I have never seen food served so quick ( Maybe in Mc Donalds )and then it arrived cold and burnt, tut tut. The manager was very serious looking, did not interact with us or hold any conversation,... More

We found ourselves one cold December day in Greystones, Co. Wicklow and were so delighted to find this lovely warm atmospheric restaurant. While we weren't in the market for food at that particular time, we did enjoy a lovely glass of wine and some very hospitable service. In light of that, and the lovely memory, I think we'll return there... More

My girlfriend and I were strolling around Greystones and were a little hungry. We spotted the place from the road, after passing by a building under construction (looked like an extension to the existing restaurant). We were greeted by a friendly waitress cleaning the window on the door - she ushered us in and promptly seated us. The place looks... More

Dined here several times and it never disappoints. 15 minute drive from Hotel, and definitely worth the trip. Choice of bistro or restaurant, and both are fabulous. Give it a go! More

the bistro has a cosy atmosphere and a varied menu which apart from the cold potatoes we enjoyed very much. however the compulsary service charge i felt was a bit of a cheek. whatever happened to the days of tips at your discretion. our bill was over 400 euros which included a service charge of 36 euro. tables of 10... Trusty Trip Advisor led us to The Hungry Monk. We have never had a welcome like this in any restaurant we have ever visited. An open fire in the dining room gave a homely cosy feel. Friendly knowledgeable staff explained the varied menu and recommend wines to accompany our food choice. We were not disappointed our meal was delicious. Unfortunately... More

What a treat this restaraunt is. We almost drove past as it looked closed and empty, but what we had spotted was an unfinished new extension. Once inside the service is friendly and more importantly very personal. The selection of food is quite good and it is well presented and well cooked. Highly recommended if you are in the area. More
