One of the best lunches we had in Connemara! Our group of four had the pate, mussels, goat cheese tart, seafood chowder, and Connemara smoked salmon plate -- all of which were delicious! Highly recommend. And their brown bread was the best in the area of the places we ate! Great views, too. More

Beautiful cosy pub on the Connemara Loop 4 bike route. Stopped in for a drink and ended up staying for lunch and dinner and somehow made it back to Clifden in one piece. Delicious oysters and the O'hara's stout is definitly worth a try! More

Enjoyed an evening meal of chowder followed by local turbot at O'Dowds on my first night in Roundstone. Great view from our table across the bay as the light was fading. The service and the food were both great. More

We have been going to O'Dowds for may years whenever we go fishing on Lough Corrib for the mayfly season and take a day off. There is a small comfortable bar with bags of character overlooking the harbour. There is always a fish of the day as well as oysters, crabs claws to die for, local prawns (longoustines) freshly made... More

I had heard so many excellent reviews about O'Dowd's of Roundstone that I diverted my trip especially to sample it, however we left the pub feeling very let down with the standard of food. When we entered the pub it was quiet with one man having a pint and a family of four at another table. We really liked the... More

Definitely worth stopping in. Mary, the bartender, was so cute and friendly, chatted us up the entire time. Met a wonderful couple vacationing from Dublin as well. O'Dowds is a terrific place! Definitely put it in your agenda of a place to go! More

Go into O'Dowds every time I am in Connemara and each time doesn't disappoint! Fantastic views, friendly staff and more importantly...lovely food. Can't beat the friendly and relaxed atmosphere. The seafood chowder is delicious. Hope to go back very soon :) More
