Another "nothing fancy" restaurant (common for this town). Very good sandwiches and good ribs. Probably the best NY strip steak in town and the roasted potatoes are very good, too. Good for lunch and dinner. Owners also have the Blind Zebra, Red's Ale House and the new Connors restaurants in the area.

The last time we ate at the Beef and Barrel was for our condo association semi annual dinner night out. I was appalled to be served canned peas! Enough said? It is possible that the new owners have improved the food. They couldn't make it worse, that's for sure.

The wings are very good. I had the breaded wings (they offer "naked" and boneless as well) with the parmesan garlic sauce. They were big, crispy, and the sauce was very tasty. 10 more than filled me up, which is to emphasize that they are big.

If you are going to eat at this restaurant, do yourself a favor and order the hamburger. This will accomplish two things: you will eat a pretty good hamburger and you will stay away from the other overpriced and underwhelming options on the menu.
