We were expecting a better restaurant than it actually was, judging from the exterior appearance, but we tried the lunch here anyway. The seating area is in a porch setting and very casual with some tables and chairs made of plastic. We ordered the Muffaletta which came with chips. The sandwich was average sized, freshly made and quite delicious. It... More

Fish did not taste fresh, waiting staff obviously not familiar with the menu, corkage fees way out of line, red meats over cooked (lamb in my case). Though this may be a nice mid day soup, salad and sandwich venue, I would not return for an evening meal.

A wonderful place to stop and feel like you're in the mountains(you are!!). Great selection of sadnwiches different from the fast-food ones. Several slendid salads as well, and generous portions on super deserts! Great service-with-a-smile, and grab an ice cream or some home made fudge on your way out the door! Just feet from Caesar's Head overlook too!

Winding our way up Highway 276 at lunch time we decided to stop at this unpretentious but beautiful rustic stone building that had a busy parking lot. We were seated immediately and served quickly some of the freshest, most reasonably priced food that we had on our trip. The family run restaurant is frequented by locals who know the family... More

I ordered the $25 Filet Mignon and when it arrived the entre consisted on 2 small slices (1/4 inch thick) of meat. I thought there had been some sort of mistake, but the waitress said that the filet is supposed to be 3 ounces. Later, the manager brought me a single additional slice which was a nice gesture. But still,... More

This out-of-the-way little eatery, located atop Cesar's Head on US-276 in upper Greenville County, South Carolina, is one of those gems, perhaps often missed because of it's plainness and simplicity. Open for lunch Tuesday thru Sunday and dinner Thursday thru Saturday, this place offers a comfortable mountain atmosphere and quality fare. Lunch is limited to sandwiches, salads, burgers and hotdogs... More

Definitely need to make dinner reservations and call to find out what will be served if you are a picky eat. The beef medalions were really tender and the mahi was not overcooked. Dinners come with a salad and your sides. We are told the staff are all friends of the owner and they were really friendly. Seating is on... More
