After hearing about Poogan's Porch on our ghost tour, we decided to eat lunch here. The food was excellent. All of the portions were generous, so you definitely get your money's worth. They were also able convert one of their meals into a vegetarian meal for one of the members at my table. The restuarant is located in a lovely,... More

I had the nicest dinner here recently, sitting outside on the lovely front porch. I went out of my comfort zone and tried the snapper dinner which is accompanied by a grit cake and pulled pork with BBQ sauce. I have to say, this dish was out of control! I enjoyed every bite, it was very very good. That plus... More

Poogan's Porch might not look like a plush and high class dining restaurant from the outside, but I am sure they are 1 of the best restaurants here which serve delicious southern cuisine. We went to this restaurant after a recommendation from a local tour guide and my friend who has eaten here before. Indeed, the food is awesome. I... More

Had a decent dining experience at Poogan's. Everyone on staff was nice as could be. The hostess were pleasant and the waitress was very nice and helpful. But they couldn't make up for the food. The food was either poorly executed or the recipes were poorly conceived. For example- I had a piece of seared grouper. The grouper was a... More

Beautiful setting and awesome food. Great way to experience dishes Charleston is known for --she crab soup, shrimp and grits, etc. Best biscuits I've ever had. Shrimp and grits were heavenly. Scallop and pork belly starter was delicious. She-crab soup rich and tasty. Regret we did not get dessert. Highly recommended.

I ate here while my family was visiting from the upstate. Being a college student in Charleston, Poogan's Porch is one of the restaurants I avoid because of the high price. However, with my parents paying, I couldn't resist. I had the Sautéed Grouper which was delicious. It left me feeling satisfied, but I still had room for the Chocolate... More

I had one of the best dinner's Ive ever had including the crab cakes, defenitly try the crab cake appetizer! I got the plantation chicken, which was fried chicken, stuffed with gouda cheese,... More

Went here over Mother's Day weekend with my Mom. Had an early reservation (made weeks in advance) and it was busy. First disappointment was we were seated at a table right next to a wait station when there other more pleasant tables available. Really? Maybe if we had walked in without a reservation or if other tables were unavailable. They... More

We had great meals all around Charleston but I think this was my favorite. The light airy atmosphere was delightful. The variety on the menu was appreciated. Being a little tired of seafood, I had the duck and my husband and sister had the fillet. All was cooked to order and greatly enjoyed!

I had scallops which were tasty. My friend had possibly largest in-bone pork chop I've ever seen. Not much in terms of included sides, but sides available on menu.
