A nice downtown restaurant, classy decor but not stuffy. Good service and the fillet steak was excellent!

We recently had the privilege of having lunch at the Capital Grille in Down Town Pittsburgh. It was for a special occasion, a luncheon with co-workers, there were 14 of us and they had our table ready when we arrived, it is a cozy atmosphere and yet everything was prepared very tastefully and elegant. Our food was delicious and served... More

The service was friendly and very attentive. The prosciutto mozzarella appetizer was delicious. I am not a huge prosciutto fan but having it lightly grilled and wrapped around fresh Mozzerella made it amazing. The salads were average. I did not care for the sauce that accompanied the mushrooms and cipollini onions but the sliced filet mignon itself was phenomenal. The... More

This was our first visit to the restaurant, the hotel we stayed at made last minute reservations for us. The staff at the restaurant were very friendly and helpful with the menu and suggestions. My husband and I each had a steak (both were very well cooked) and we shared the Lobster Mac & Cheese...it's the best thing ever that... More

My first time at this restaurant. We had a group of 10 clients that we met here for dinner. The wait staff was prompt in getting us seated and had drinks an hors d'oeuvre's in front of us in a short time. We had asked for a round table at the time of booking the reservation, but when we got... More

We come to the Capital Grille often as a family but tonight I decided to bring my girlfriend here for her birthday. From the time we pulled up to the minute we pulled away everything was great. When we came in all of the greeters and our waiter said happy birthday to my girlfriend and the table was beautifully decorated.... More

So Pittsburgh Rare goes out of business. Ruth Criss is priced out of site when you have to sit next to someone that you didn't choose to sit next to. For my 59th and our neighbor's 60th birthday, we wanted steak so we decided to try somewhere different so we chose the Capital Grille. What a great choice! We got... More
