Description: Bybrooks USP is its setting among 365 acres of Cotswolds gardens and woodland. Talk about idyllic. Befitting the gorgeous 14th century manor which houses it, it wears its ancient grandeur with pride; the original stained glass windows and carved stonework are in beautiful condition. Each of Richard Davies imaginative Modern British dishes is presented with a sense of occasion, whether a starter of seared hand-dived scallops with butternut squash, chorizo and poached pear, or a glorious plate of slow-roasted fillet of beef with cauliflower soubise, wild mushroom ravioli and red wine jus.

group of 4 of us went to the Bybrook restaurant recently on a Saturday night, and it didn’t disappoint. The restaurant is in the Manor House, and the surrounding gardens and building are very grand and impressive. When we arrived we were seated in the bar, where our orders were taken. As it was a special occasion we all decided... More

The 7 course degustation menu, served as a part of a "room deal" was faultless, with every course a delight. The service in the restaurant was very professional ( in contrast to the haphazard service in the grounds for afternoon tea earlier in the day), and every course was seasonal, and perfectly cooked. The only minor gripe was that many... More

We came here when we stayed in Bath for the weekend - it was my boyfriend's birthday treat and I wanted to make it really special. This is quite possibly the nicest dinner experience I've ever had. As soon as we walked through the door into the restaurant, I noticed the young man on the piano, who was playing some... More

We tried the tasting menu which was fantastic, all seven dishes served with precision and elegance. A range of fantastic taste combinations and some old favourites, pork belly was sublime, Turbot wonderful, and the Basil sorbet, very cleansing ! Service was superb, even after a few drinks the staff remained professional, and accommodating, really can't fault anything, yes expensive, but... More

We went to this restaurant based purely on seeing Richard Davies compete on BBC's Great British Menu for Comic Relief, so knew what we'd be eating.... Or thought we did as we got some many additional surprises it made it excellent value for money. We got a complimentary soup and starter before the main event began. Which was a four... More

I was lucky enough to spend my 40th birthday at Bybrook restaurant in The Manor House on Friday April 12th. The food, atmosphere and service was absolutely 1st class and everyone in our party thoroughly enjoyed every minute! Our table of 7 people opted for the taster menu and weren't dissapointed. One of our party members is allergic to fish... More

On arrival the service was very poor, accents I couldn't understand and absolutely no clue how to serve cocktails! and at the prices they charge you might have thought they got it right! This is one's first impression of the Bybrook so very off putting if you are new, which I have to say we were not. Then once taken... More

Dear Bristolboy900, Thank you for your feedback, and I am sorry you appear to have not enjoyed your meal. We do change the menu from time to time and based on seasonality as well, however Richard's signature dishes are generally not removed. It is a shame you did not enjoy your cocktails in the bar, but a bit unfair to... More

My partner and I have just returned from a fantastic anniversary meal at the Bybrook restaurant. We started by having a lovely glass of English sparking wine served by a very welcoming bartender. After a relaxing sit down in the cosy bar and some lovely nibbles we were shown into the grand dining area, where we were shown to our... More
