tasty lunch & reasonable prices, excellent service & great location in town. I love diners & find comfort foods to be the best. Plave is clean, but no credit cards! I love to use my credit card when I travel because of rebates. But it probably keeps their costs low & they pass that on to the consumer.
The diner was like a flash back. Grey & pink floor tiles, a long counter with the classic round stools. The food was average diner food, but we enjoyed our Ruben sandwiches a lot! There was a buffet but a food selection that was also dated. They even had jello!! We ordered sandwiches from menu.
Great old-fashioned American diner with warm-hearted, down-to-earth staff. The food wasn't great though, nor was the coffee.
My husband and I decided to try out the "best breakfast in the poconos". It was far from it. The food was just ok; nothing extra-ordinary. Service was good. The restaurant was showing a lot of wear and could use a good cleaning. I would recommend the Cocoon over this place.
We recently were looking for a place to have breakfast in Hawley and stopped at the Hawley dinner. It reminded us of the old time dinners from years ago. The restaurant did not look very clean but the food was good and the prices were reasonable.
The best in the Northeast Cheese burger deluxe. Polite service and conversation, affordable price prompt service.
When we saw this worn-out symbol for a diner, our first reaction was to move on. There are not, however, many choices for places to eat in downtown Hawley. So, into the valley rode the 2 diners.
It's obvious that the restaurant does not subscribe to the saying that cleanliness is next to godliness.
Nothing on the menu stood out....

They have been open for over 50 years, and I think it is the same good place to eat as it was 50 years ago when I first visited. If you like good old fashion local diners this is the place to stop. The service was great, the food was very good, the desserts are homemade. We had the coconut...

It's a diner - what more can I say. The food is good, prices reasonable, and service, fast. The menu has something for everyone, and their salad bar and buffet is pretty good.
