Description: Glasbern is a restaurant, inn, and 130-acre sustainable farm serving our-farm-to-your-table cuisine every night of the year. We raise cattle, sheep, pigs, chickens, and year-round gardens. What you'll find here is more than farm-to-table: When you dine with us, you're dining at the farm's own table. Join us in either the Great Room or the Harvest Room -- two distinct spaces within a few steps of each other. The Great Room features a 28-foot timbered cathedral ceiling, fieldstone walls, fireplace and candles. It is part of the original 19th-Century barn, with exposed beams and ladders. Sunday through Friday choose from a la carte dining or a $59 6-course farm tasting menu. Saturday night is a $60 Prix Fixe special menu. The Harvest Room has a traditional cozy fireside atmosphere, with bar seating, tables, booths, oil paintings, fireplace, adjoining patio, and its own farm-fresh Harvest Room Menu. On our 3 day stay we ate breakfast and dinner at the Glasbern Inn all 3 days. The freshest food ever, and plenty of it. fantastic breakfast. For dinner the beef and chicken dishes were great and the desserts were outstanding. Crème Bruhlee' was the best, Chocolate cake top notch, and I hope the Ricotta cheese cake gets a permanent... We were disappointed in the prix fixe dinner. The asparagus soup was harsh. The beef short ribs were undercooked, tough, and with little flavor, served with extremely salty mashed potatoes. The lamb ragu was dry; my wife picked the pasta out of it. My chicken breast was okay but dry. The ice cream was good. The creme brule was the... More

Eggs Benedict, frittata, French toast, coffee, it's all good! Friendly servers in a homey atmosphere. "Welcome, please feel free to sit where you are comfortable".

We visited Glasbern Inn Restaurant twice and this experience was very disappointing. The salads were adequate but not exceptional, the appetizer and entree portions were meager, at best. My wife's beef stew was very tough and my lamb Ragu and pasta entree was uninspired. Although we enjoy deliberately paced service, both in Europe and in The States, this was slow... More

What a wonderful experience! We arrived to see some of their cattle roaming about, with just enough light to enjoy all of the gorgeous landscaping, and see some of the buildings. We had a terrific meat, starting with a charcuterie platter. All of the food (of course, literally "farm to table") was delicious. I had the beef tenderloin, others had... More

With few choices for really good (higher-end) food in the area, I was thrilled to find the Glasbern. It's just a short distance from town and I see why almost all the reviews were great. While the wine list is somewhat thin, they do have many good wines to choose from. I picked a Montoya Pino Noir (California) that was... More

We live in the Philly region and were looking for a farm-to-table restaurant when we came across reviews for Glasbern Inn. We decided to give it a go - and we were very happily surprised. The dishes were simply prepared and excellent, owing primarily to the quality ingredients grown and raised on the farm. We had their Saturday night four... More

Really enjoyed the room in the pack house. Very quiet and relaxing. Food was true farm to table. Dinner was pricey but delicious .

We arrived at 8:35 pm and the hostess told us that the kitchen closed at 8:30 but she would check if they could take us. They accommodated us! And they did it well! This place serves fresh food from their farm and it was really good! I loved the beer list and the atmosphere. It reminded me of being in... More

Wow, I was shocked by this place!! My husband had found it (we've from CA but he comes to Allentown on business) and it was so much more than I expected! I usually endure less than charming hotels when I come along on my husband's business trip but thanks to the Glasbern, this business trip was like a romantic getaway.... More
