Find this place, conveniently at a MAX stop so you can leave the car. DUI laws in OR are brutal so don't risk a night in the pokey. Really fun happy hour worth coming back for. If you don't have friends, make some here! Funky, fun, with a quiet, electric energy, great people watching. I've had lunch with the girls... More

This is one of Portland's iconic hangouts and if you're lucky, you just might get a glimpse of the owner and past mayor, Bud Clark. My boyfriend and I agree, they make the best roast beef sandwiches around and I love their Turkey Reubens too. All sandwiches are served the exact same way (and have been for as long as... More

You will find several PSU professors frequent this place. Happy hour can be standing room only. It's owned by a former Portland mayor, namely Bud Clark. They serve great food, especially their Reuben. Come early to get good parking. This was one of my favorite hangouts when I was going to college.

I go here for guys night at least a few times a year. Great beer and an eclectic crowd. I'll keep going back.

My family and I stopped in at the Goose Hollow Inn because it was recommended by a friend of mine. We arrived at lunchtime. The restaurant was very busy and the seating is not terribly comfortable. However, the beers were good and the reubens were great! We also really liked the potato salad that came with the reubens.

I have been going to the Goose for 41 years, and they still have the best Ruebens in town! A casual tavern, restaurant, with many neighborhood regulars, and the owner used to be the Mayor of Portland. Nothing much has changed over the years, still friendly service, nice out door deck, right on the MAX rail system!!

It was actually my second visit to this place. I did not have a good experience at the first time, but I tried it again because we were just in the vicinity and there was not any other place close by. The experience was terrible. The wait was too long. After sitting, it took about 10 minutes for a server... More

My wife and I split a reuben which was very tasty and is one the best in town. Service was a bit abbreviated and we seemed to be invisible sometimes with the lack of attention. We would go back but we hope we receive better service

As a new arrival to Portland who also loves a good Reuben, I was excited to learn about the Goose Hollow Inn, which boasts "the world's best Reuben sandwich." Last weekend, we made the trek to try it out. Never again. The food was indeed good -- my Reuben, and the others' veggie burger and French dip sandwiches - but... More
