Description: Firehouse Restaurant is a central and southern Italian inspired restaurant located in the historic Dekum Firehouse in NE Portland. We offer seasonable fare using sustainable fish, meats, and produce whenever possible. We use a wood-fired oven, rotisserie and grill that emphasize technique, seasonality, and a simple straightforward approach to food. To us, there are few things more beautiful than a well-prepared meal in a warm and inviting setting. We hope to see you soon!

Fun remodeled old firehouse in Portland. Great appetizers. Had the firehouse meatballs. Yummy. Lots of Kale. Husband had half a chicken, very generous with the portions. Good idea to make reservations, we didn't but they still treated us great. Desert was wonderful as well. I loved the mint iced tea! Will come back with friends!

Couldn't agree more with all the 5 star reviews already submitted. But smokin' can be taken two ways. Both the quality of the food, and the way your clothes smell for several days after an evening there. For me it was worth it and I kind of like that wood smoke ambience. Certainly much better than tobacco smoke. But if... More

My wife and I had dinner at the Firehouse on Date night. We sat at the bar per our usual. Good wine list and some decent glass pours. Dinner was excellent. My wife had the three course menu with the risotto balls, a great salad, and the meatballs with kale. The entree was delicious. I had a pizza from the... More

If you like sitting by the fire on a cold wet day, this is the place for you. If smoke from a wood fire bothers you, go elsewhere. The tables seemed a little close together, so we sat at the bar. From there you get a good view of the kitchen and pizza oven. I thought the pizza was one... More

This is one of the best priced small italian restaurants in portland. Fabulous thin crust pizza, but other delicious food includes the fried cauliflower with lemon aioli, meatballs with lacinto kale and the light ceasor with romaine hears. Great prices on the winelist to boot.

Walking into the Firehouse, the smell of the wood fired oven fills the air with a warm, friendly ambiance. The staff are warm and friendly providing attentive, first class service. The local seasonal dishes are prepared carefully and delicious. The pizzas are wonderful as well. It was just the place to celebrate a family birthday.

We have been here a few times over the years and I really can say it seems to get better each time. Last night we met some friends so we were able to order more dishes to share and try things we had never ordered. The pizza is wood fired and very good. Not the best in town but better... More

We saw that Firehouse was one of the top rated restaurants on Trip Advisor, so we thought we'd give it a try. We made reservations as we heard it fills up and is pretty small. The place was pretty busy and we were seated right away. Our server took a bit to get us, but did a great job after... More
