I've eaten here a few times and have been impressed every time. I highly recommend visiting the lounge attached to this restaurant during the holidays.

Excellent food. We learned that they have a well known Chef AND a pastry chef who prepares all of the breads and desserts daily. We stayed next door at the Villas, and ate there 2 out of the 3 nights that we stayed in Hood River. Suggestions: The Butternut Squash Ravioli is excellent. The Short Ribs are tender and savory.... My husband and I are big foodies and this is one of the best meals we have had in the Pacific NW! Yeah to Chef Rodney and the amazing wait staff at Simons.

It's beyond me how many people can rate burger or breakfast places above an outstanding restaurant like this one. The setting on a bluff overlooking the Columbia Gorge is unsurpassed. Our dinners (coho salmon and beef filet) were exceptionally good. We were greeted immediately at the front door of the the hotel and at the entrance to the restaurant. The... More

Enjoyed the 7 course brunch at Simon's. The food, service, value, and views of the river were all excellent. The resturant is at the top of a waterfall so be sure to check that out as well.

We had dinner and enjoyed duck and halibut. The meals were delicious and very filling. The place settings made you feel very special. Breakfast was amazing as well. We had waffles and an omelet. When you can go all day and not get hungry you know you were fed well! Great restaurant.

We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Simon's during our trip to NW. The view was wonderful from the sunroom and later while walking outside we saw the waterfall beneath us. Our waiter Todd was delightful and enhanced our enjoyment. My husband said the Columbia River steelhead was one of the best meals ever and each one of us was happy... More

We recently did a nine day road trip up through Northern California, Oregon, and Washington. One of our stops was Hood River, OR and we stopped at the Columbia Gorge Hotel for lunch on our way into town based on a recommendation of a friend. We were so glad we did! Although the historic elegance made my husband squirm a... More

We ate here twice - once on the way to the Dalles and the second time because it was so good. This restaurant compares well to some of the best on the East Coast and the views are grand. Local fish makes the meal and with so many vineyards around it is easy to have good wine.

We had a great dinner there, sitting at a table with a river view. The wait staff was very attentive, the food arrived promptly & was very good to look at & even better to eat.
