I ordered the omelette with cilantro, spinach and Daiya cheese. I added the sausage as well. I generally don't like big pieces of "fake" meat. I prefer smaller pieces that are nicely grilled on all sides to give a crispy texture. Next time, I would skip the "sausage". I loved the potaotes. The toast was good though I ordered it... More

I have the pleasure of living in Eugene where this little gem of a restaurant is. Even if you are not vegan, or vegetarian (I am not), you will find very yummy offerings on their very creative menu. Everything I have tried (which has been a lot) is always fresh, very well prepared and tasty. For those who wish for... More

Waitress seated us and disappeared. Saw her later with her coat on leaving the building! hmmm... We tried and tried to flag down another waitress with no luck. She finally came by and took our order. She then delivered the wrong food. :( I asked for decaf coffee and was informed they mix hot water with instant. Yuck. So I... More

Visited the cafe while touring the University of Oregon. It was Mexican menu night. Although vegetarian, I'm not a big fan of vegetarian food that is made to taste like meat, but these folks made terrific enchiladas using local, organic, ingredients. The ambiance is simple but comfortable. The service was very good. The cost was modest. If I have the... More

Wonderful little place to eat healthy. Eating healthy on a road trip can be a challenge if you want quick food. However Cafe Cornbread was an answer to my and my husband's needs, as it is a great Vegan restaurant. I wanted healthy and wholesome. He wanted no seafood due to his seafood allergies and no pork. The kale potato... More

They support good causes in the local community, serve great food, have wonderful service and it is a nice bright break during the gloomy winter days. Worth going.

As a vegetable lover, but non-vegan, I brought a vegetarian customer here recently as a result of the positive reviews. My impression--and his--is that the Cornbread Cafe is a solid choice for vegans [and non] looking for a nice meal in the marketplace. The night we were there, they appeared to be down one server and as a result the... More

stopped here on my way up I5 to portland. it was well worth the slight detour. i ordered the country fried tempeh w cashew gravy and had the collard green, sweet potato wedges and jalapeno cornbread on the side. the cornbread was perfect; slightly crumbly, but not too dry. the greens were tasty, though done in a bit too much... Vegan comfort food, excellent service, and trivial pursuit cards on every table = winning! I was in Eugene for 2 days and ate here twice (breakfast & dinner). This is the kind of place you want to take meat-eaters to in an effort to convert them!

Another dive. Another Diamond. We arrived at the Cornbread Cafe on a stressful, running-out-of-time-but got-to eat on the way to the airport morning. It was our first time. We were early - about 20 minutes before the official opening and they let us in, listened to our we-don't-have-a-lot-of-time story and fed us in a hurry. It's a blur and I... More
