A family member recommended us to eat there and I am glad we did ! From the outside it just looks a dive but the food is very yummy. They have a lot to choose from and prices are good . Great service as well .

I live nearby Lok Yaun and it's one of my favorite places to indulge myself when I feel like a feast! The portions are very large, and the food is usually great, although an Americanized version of Chinese food, with deep fried chicken or pork balls in batter for example is standard on many of the dishes. However, not all...

The food is great and the portions are large. When we ask for special dishes because of Gluten Free issues or vegetarian, they were always great.
Some of the worst food ive ever had,how can they even call this nastiness chinese food!I got the marfar chicken, sweet and sour pork, and pork fried rice combo and i could only eat a few bites, the egg flower soup was the only thing good about the meal.
I love Lok Yaun. Been going there since the mid-70s. Always enough food for like three meals (love it next day for lunch!). It's Americanized food, but when I crave sweet & sour chicken, and homemade Chinese food that's filling, Lok Yaun is the place to go! They need better ventilation as It's a bit too greasy when they're busy....

Do all bad Chinese restaurants get their "food" from the same cans? 'Cause this tastes like all the other lousy Chinese food you've ever had.
My husband and I asked a local "where is there good Chinese food?" We were directed to this restaurant by two different residents. Now, I know why. I did not like the gravy for it. We prefer the light colored gravy not the dark stuff. The rest if just fine and I do not have anything else to say about it.
There is an Applebee's next door, but it's Lok Yaun's parking lot that is constantly full. Having traveled on business throughout the Pacific Rim, I'm rather difficult to please when it comes to Chinese. This place pleases me. In addition, they actually have a healthy menu. It too is excellent.
salt and pepper shrimp, excellent! Cashew chicken very good! Egg rolls very good! Enough food 4 a small army. Great prices! Wish I'd got one of my usual favorites so I was judging apples to apples. Will go again and do that.
