Delicious food, high end for a pub, in lovely traditional pub atmosphere. Highly recommended, particularly if staying at Aln House opposite.

The menu is reasonably priced and varied enough for everyone to find something they like, I can particularly recommend the craster stew. Especially good value is the early bird menu and carvery at £10 for two courses.... More

Food was very good, great menu and specials. Only let down was waiting staff could so with a bit more training on what wines were available, but we got there in the end. Would return without hesitation

We called in on the evening of our arrival in Alnwick and were pleasantly surprise how nice a resturant it was. Made to feel very welcome and the food was fantastic.

June 2011. Although staying in Almouth we called in on our way back from a day out at teatime to look at their menu The Oaks has an early bird Carvery at very competitive prices and the place was packed. The restaurant was quiet but we booked for later that evening. The blackboard menu changes regularly and offers lots of... More
