Everyone that goes to Southwold seem to get into the Nelson at some point and it is always well worth a visit every time. We sat in the garden with my grandaughter and had a good pint. Maybe time to eat next time.

An extremely busy pub/restaurant. Very popular and deserves to be so. Probably the best fish and chips I have ever eaten. Good varied menu, home cooking. Comfortable outside area partly covered with heaters for those of us who smoke! Dogs welcome

The bar staff are exceptional, dealing with large queues calming and...

One of the best pubs in Southwold. Serve a good range of Adnams beers, all kept, as you would expect with the brewery next door. Ghost Ship well worth a mentiuon if you like real beer. Also had a lunchtime meal which was very good and comprised crab, in which you could almost smell the sea, it was so fresh....

This pub is located very close to the seafront. The pub has a cosy atmosphere and good menu choice. The fish and chips were superb (an enormous piece of fish) and very good value too.

A very nice pub in a good location. Friendly staff, a good selection of beer and a lively atmosphere, but best of all the fish and chips - fantastic.

simply the best pub ever, great beer and atmosphere, and right next to the sea. Everytime we visit Southwold we are drawn back to the Nelson. The only thing that spoils it are the London prices
