Food is good as is the staff just what you expect from a Best Western Hotel, The actual bar needs a refurb as is small and cramped but the the dinning room is OK.

We called in for lunch on a Sunday and sat in the bar area which has a log fire and a nice ambiance. Reasonable choice of food freshly cooked and good service. Good wine and beer choices. Will certainly return in future.

you can choose from a large 1st class meneu. you can choose one, two, or three coarses from £7.95 for 1 £10.95 for 2 and £12.95 for 3 courses. i had pidgeon, followed by quaill, then a hazelnut Q& choc pyrimid. all very tasy. the drinks are also very reasonable.

Popped in there one evening for a snack in the bar. It was reasonably busy. Had the ham eggs and chips which was not bad although the chips were a bit too well done for my liking. Overall it was good value for mone. Service was also prompt.

the food is decent for the money. Regular portions, regular pub food. The problem is the women in charge of seating people. Not there when you arrive, but complains loudly enough for you to here that you are in the wrong place... needs firing imo, get someone decent at the job.
