I have eaten here before, and the food was really nice but service average. Me and my partner decided to go back for dinner. The service was ok. We weren't offered water and were told that the manager did not want to hand out a beverage list, as most of the wines were not available. We were given a Riesling... More

Surprisingly good food! Everything I had was really good, at really pleasant atmosphere / ambiance. Service was a bit slow, but fine for a long leisurely evening.

I love all the artwork - and the modern architecture of the building!! Such a huge array of north qld artists...we've bought a painting or two and I can never wait to return to see what's new. The seating is great - out by the sea to watch the incredible sunsets this bay has every night or by the fairylights... More

We loved this place. Great food, great wine, not sure about the possums who visit though. Service was great too. It is a little pricey so is not an everyday restaurant but if you're visiting Maggie for a few days. Make the time to go here, relax and enjoy. We will return.

The venue is great and the food i had was good.....as far as it went. However in a variety of australian restaurants and pubs nationwide there are staff who have issues with brits. So big is the issue they can barely manage to look at you. The chap managing when i attended clearly had this problem. The food was good....but... More

Had another wonderful night of fun, food and family at Barefoot Gallery and restaurant! On arrival David (the owner and amazing Chef) greeted us with a bottle of sparkly and stayed to shout a toast to Dad. It was so unexpected and touching. Very overwhelming! We miss you so much Dad... Thanks again David for making the night even more... More

Tasty food! I had the tender barramundi, which was clearly fresh out the sea, and the calamari salad was excellent too! Limited choice for starters I thought, but good variety of choices for mains. Service was fine because we weren't in a hurry, but would suggest you be on 'island time' when you come. Nice setting on horseshoe bay, upstairs... More

Enjoyed lunch on the deck upstairs with a group of friends. Good menu, service and wine list. If the proprietor was any more laid back he would be horizontal but that complements the feeling of being on a tropical island and it was good fun. Interesting art on the walls adds to the ambience. Well worth a visit.

Arrived here before lunch opening time, and came inside because the door was open (didn't realise the store was closed). we came in for beverages because it was so hot outside, rather than turn us away, we were welcomed in by the very friendly staff, who were also very attentive. encouraged us to stay in, brought us magazines and complimentary...
