My daughter and I stopped here while traveling through St. Stephen, about 2 hours from our home in Maine. The parking lot was full, so that confirmed our decision. We had sandwiches, which were tasty and reasonably priced. The diner itself is dated, but homey. The staff was friendly, the diner seemed to be a meeting spot for the locals -... More

Had a great supper with my son tonight. Loved the friendly waitress, and the friendliness of the other guests. Really made you feel you "came home for supper :)". The homemade pies were marvelous! It was their FB page that inspired me to go, and they didn't let me down. We'll be back soon.

My partner and I decided to give the food at Carmen's a try, despite of the appearance of the building. Other groups came in after us and their orders were promptly taken while we waited. We were finally served - the waitress spilt coffee on my partner and did not apologize. We cleaned the coffee off the table ourselves. She... More

I enjoyed a fish and chips with a side of gravy for my fries. The fish was nicely battered and tasty. The meal arrived quickly and the service was friendly. I also tasted the lobster stew, it was loaded with lobster and in a cream base. Although it could have used more seasoning, you could not discount the fact that... More

After driving all day I had a hankering for a lobster roll. I got one at Carman's Diner, overflowing with chunks of lobster, with coleslaw and fried on the side. Then they offered me a slice of homemade pie I simply couldn't resist. Since the restaurant was about the close, there were few guests and I had a chance to... More

Seafood Chowder was excellent, good service, not to be missed. Good home cooking. Well worth the stop. As others have pointed out, a little paint and sprucing up would help, but good food and prices are hard to match.

The lady at the hotel recommended it even though it didn't jump out when I was searching on Trip Advisor? I just checked and it's rated just above Tim Hortons?? They make everything from scratch and it shows!! Booths are a little worn out but the food more than makes up for it, good home cooking!!!

Arrived at 11:30 am and were seated at 2 booth (family of five). Nice diner but could use a bit of sprucing up. The booth seats are cracking and maybe a fresh coat of paint~all minor though. Seems to be popular with the locals and was full by the time we left. Ordered a child's fish and chips, 2 large... More

After our last diner experience we were a little nervous about trying this, but we were glad we did. The place was clean, service was good and the food was really good. The prices were reasonable as well. For a little added fun there are coin operated juke boxes on the tables so you can listen to some of your... More

I was expecting a diner atmosphere - and that is what it is. No disappointment there. The food certainly wasn't bad, but it wasn't the best either. I had the baked haddock. It came with fries and a small salad and cole slaw. The haddock had potential, but was baked a little too long on one side and was very... More
