It was a taste bud explosion. I like a little heat and they did it perfect. Wrapped shrimp was perfect. Service was perfect as well as the whole experience.

Whenever I visit my daughter at school she always asks to be taken here (because she can't afford the prices on a student's budget). I love the duck stir fry and she always get the pad thai noodles. I have had good experience with the sushi as well.
Downtown Thai is a wonderful dining experience for lunch or dinner. The food is delicious, presentation is lovely and prices are affordable when treating yourself on special occasions. I love #5 on the lunch menu with ground chicken or shrimp. I tried the sushi and really liked it! DT is a must stop for my son and I when he...

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Winston Salem. Not only is the Thai food first rate, they have the very best sushi, and oddly enough, the Vietnamese fare is also exceptional. The Pho is among the best I've ever had. Lunchtime specials are particularly well priced. Don't miss it.
This is a beautiful place. The food was very good and the seafood fresh. The shrimp were divine. It is pricey but a nice treat.
Prompt service, the food actually comes out very fast. Good sized portions. I'm not sure how authentic this is, but I liked it. I ordered #4. It could use a little spice added to it (soy or even some Tobasco!)
Long standing restaurant which has shown no forward movement. Tired place and to boot refused restaurant.com certificate which had so many restrictions that it could not be used in previous 2 visits. Now when all restrictions met, they claim not to accept at all. Poor business decision. I'll not return, too many other great choices. Try Basil Leaf on Hanes...

Some coworkers and I tried Downtown Thai and Sushi at lunch, where we were attending a nearby training. Maybe they were having an off day, but the food was bad (one girl said she'd had grocery store sushi that was better), the service poor and inattentive, and value was terrible- no diner could get out of there under $15 for...

Food and service are great - nice menu options and very nice atmosphere. A bit pricey, especially with such other good options downtown.
More about marketing than the food - trendy but not much of a kick to the flavors. Thai should never be this bland.
