Our party of 4 ate dinner at the Seafood Barn. The salad was good, but the blu cheese dressing was yellow and had no flavor. The spaghetti was very good, the large seafood platter was also good, except only 2 1/2 small scallops were served with the dinner. When we asked waiter about this, the response was scallops price has... More

We have been visiting Holden Beach, North Carolina for 20 years and we always eat at The Seafood Barn at least a couple of nights. We've eaten there two out of the last four nights and we have three more nights of our vacation to go. We'll probably visit at least once more this week. The Grilled Jumbo Shrimp and... More

Always nice to see a familiar place. Everytime we come back, its nice to know they are still there. They have good food, a little pricey, but to be expected, since they are really the only place on the strip that you get good and friendly service.

My husband and I have eaten at this establishment on numerous occasions. The food is okay, not outstanding. We often have to wait for a server once seated, and even longer for drinks and refills throughout the meal (this has occurred during the peak season and off season). Speed is not the name of the game. Usually the servers are... More

I spent almost $70 for four dinners and should have known better. The service was fine, the food just isn't great. If you're getting some fried shrimp I'm sure it pretty decent, if not stay away.

Good size restaurant between Shallotte and Holden Beach (not in Supply). Food was pretty good but nothing really outstanding. They did have a traditional fried seafood menu with other choices for non seafood lovers.

We have gone to the Barn for dinner while at Holden Beach for many years. This year the quality was down a bit. We got there at what was supposed to be opening time but they were late opening the doors. There were not a lot of folks there at opening and we were seated at once. The hush puppies... More

Heading to the Seafood Barn is a tradition, but this year, it was at less than its best. Deviled crab had lots of bread stuffing. Decor is folksy with some folk art-type objects--interesting look. Limited parking on busy nights. Staff was able to honor our request to sit downstairs.

We vacation every year at Holden beach and usually eat here at least once or twice each year but over the last few years the food has declined with each visit. Our party of 8 ate there yesterday and it will be out last visit. We ordered a steam pot and it was so salty we couldn't even eat it.... More
