The food is good and service is good. We got free salad with our meals but the salad was old with a bunch of brown on it. I would not get a salad here as it is not fresh. Sweet potato biscuits are delicious.

My family and I had a delicious breakfast last Sunday (Mother's Day) at the Dunes. The resturant was very busy but once we were seated the waitress was quick with taking our breakfast orders and bringing our morning coffee. The food was delivered hot and to everyone's expectations. Our meals ranged from the breakfast bar to the whaler, western omelet,...

We visited the Dunes last night for dinner and I was fairly disappointed again. I ordered oysters & crab cake and hubby ordered a spicy seafood broil. While the service was outstanding, the food was lack-luster. Oysters were soggy (a real no-no) and the seafood broil was tough and tasteless. The only other thing that keeps surprising us about the...

What restaurant doesn't change after 10 years. I hadn't been down this way since 2001, but I had fond memories of the Dunes. An old-fashioned and endearingly corny family restaurant. Now it looks a lot more hip--by which I mean dark and unwelcoming.
I went for dinner and bought the meatloaf which was bland and really needed the "tangy" ketchup...
