Wish this could have been a 5 star review cause the food was really good but! we had literally put down our forks with the last bite of our appetizer and the mains were on the table. Go to enjoy the food but only order one course at a time. Also, do not order the cappuccino. It was terrible.

It nice to see finer dining choices opening up on the Outer Banks. Flying Fish Cafe should be on your list for a quiet, relaxing and well prepared dining experience. The atmosphere is somewhat laid back, but with enough flair that you know your in for a treat. Service was exceptional, our waiter was very attentive, allowing us as much... More

They advertise to be completely satisfy or they will make it right or it is free. We went in a bit skeptical of such a claim but they lived up to it! The fish is fresh and delicious, the chicken was moist and had great flavor. The sides are light and fresh. Saved room for dessert and the Outer Banks... More

The outside appearance of the restaurant was modest but the staff, wait staff, and food was some of the best I have had ever eaten, and i love seafood. I ordered the Sicilian version of Bouilbasse over angel hair pasta.- It was to die for, with large scallops, Schrimp, Mussels, and fresh catch of the Day in a very light... More

We were glad to find the Flying Fish open on a Sunday evening. Service was friendly and helpful, and the ambiance was upscale for a beach restaurant. Drinks were generous, and the wine selection was very good. The bread was delicious and warm, accompanied by olive oil with ground pepper. The spicy coconut shrimp bisque was overly salted, and the... More

We really enjoyed our meal here. The bread and Caesar were right on. My crab cake was good, but not the best ever. The corn bread that came with it was excellent though. My husband's filet was great. I wish we had had enough room for desert! We would come back here again...oh but I should mention our server was... More

After reading positive reviews of the Flying Fish Cafe on Trip Advisor, we dined there for the first time Friday night. We were warmly greeted at the door and seated at a cozy, corner booth. Our server, Mila, was knowledgeable and professional yet friendly. When I ordered a mojito (husband had a martini), Mila told us the mint had come... More

I totally agree with Mike D and Bill H. This is one of my favorite restaurants on OBX. I was hesitant with the new ownership, but am extremely happy to report the food and service continue to be excellent! I am sure the desserts are wonderful like Mike D said, but I've always been too full to order anything! The... More

Despite the recent change of ownership, Flying Fish continues to deliver. We continue to use Flying Fish as our go to "date night" restaurant during visits to the OBX. It is the type of restaurant where the specials are so interesting I rarely order from the menu. These guys know OBX seafood inside out and only serve the best. Do... More

The meals were incredible. We all had fish and it was superb. The waiter explained how each dish was prepared and you could tell he enjoyed serving you. We happened to go to another restaurant on St. Patrick's Day and it was very noisy. I told the waitress we were in the Outer Banks for a week and wanted some... More
