Dusty's always has the nicest choice of fresh prepared appetizers, party plates, desserts, etc. I don't typically shop there for normal items because I live in Clayton. But, if you're in the market for something already prepared and different than the usual thing- stop in!

loved this market. great bakery items and a butcher in the back. wooden floors and wooden shelves. locals have charge accounts and are on the honor system to pay their bills. too cute and yester year....loved it.

Dusty's is a gem. Great meats, amazing frozen baked goods. We always keep their frozen ready to bake cinnamon buns and oatmeal raisin cookies in the freezer. It is an old time road side superette grocery and butcher shop on the side of the road as you enter Highlands, NC.

Dusty's is a treasure trove of a Mom and Pop grocery. Dusty has the best beef from wonderful steaks to ground chuck. The Bratwurst are a favorite of ours to grill. The little bakery shop in the back room has mouthwatering freshly made pastries and cakes.

Not only does Dustys meat market have great fresh cut steaks, but now you can sit inside or outside on his deck and enjoy one of his many salad or sandwich selections! Dusty's was recommended to us last summer for great steaks and it is right on! The very helpful man behind the counter cut a NY strip and a ribeye that were beautiful and delicious. Dusty's is known for great meat! Their ground sausage is outstanding (but you can't think about your diet when you eat it). Hand cut steaks, a good variety of frozen appetizers, a little bakery (I can't resist the chocolate chip cookies). Just a fun place to visit and roam around.
