This place is right across from our hotel. We were so pleasantly surprised to discover a little gem . Yes the decor is sparse- it is the Outer Banks after all...but if added to the charm. The stunning water views more than made up for that, IMO. We started with a stunning arugula, goat cheese and roasted beet salad that... More

Not sure what went wrong with our experience vs. what others have found. Way overpriced. $18 special pizza consisted of unattractive crust, a measly sprinkling of what tasted like processed cheese, one asparagus spear cut into 5 pieces, and about 2 tsps. of crabmeat. Chicken tasted good, but the accompanying 5 slices of carrot and 4 pea pods were way... More

The Paper Canoe is the best place to catch the Currituck Sound sunset. The trade off is that the bar service is very slow.. The restaurant would have sold us some more drinks if the bartender was more attentive. It was busy, but the bar is small. We has some apps that we very good too. Easy drive from Corolla... More

The food and service were above average, but compromised by the spare interior and a view of the sound marred by parked cars in the foreground. Salad, entree and glass of wine for two: $88.

We're so glad they survived the winter and are back in Duck! we went last night and had great food-the local catch was licious and my husband enjoyed the seafood lasagne which was fabulous! And got a great sunset view in the bargain! Give them a try! They're great!

We had excellent food with great presentation. The scallop and shrimp lasagna was suberb. The deserts were fantastic. Several craft beers were featured for the evening. We will definitely return! Service was attentive and knowledgeable about the menue. Great sunset view!

We love this restaurant, and we are locals. It is the only place on The Outer Banks where you can get an almost authentic Italian red-sauce dinner. The ravioli with pulled pork is to die for. We are just so sorry that they are closing soon for the winter. We recently had the flounder special and although the fish was... More

This review is short and to the point. First the menu is very small and no substutions are allowed. The staff act like this is a five star restaraunt and it is far from it. The view is great and the beer selection is above average. Second the prices are well above average for good to very good food. The... More

Cara, our server, was attentive but not intrusive and has a great personality. We thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience, and the food was delicious. A little pricey but not outrageous.
