We just stopped in for a sandwich. I had barbecue which was pretty good. Actual fresh french fries. Baked beans and cole slaw sides were nothing special. Not very attentive service. They take orders and bring the food. Pleasant and friendly, but talking to each other. Away from the street and not easy to find. We just saw it by... More

My wife and I spent an anniversary weekend in Bryson City. We stopped here for breakfast on a Saturday morning, before a day trip on the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad. The food and service were excellent. Prices were reasonable. Had they been open on Sunday morning, we would have returned for more.

We were travelling through Bryson City and decided to stop in this charming little town. We wandered into this restaurant only because there was ample parking and it seemed convenient. The prices were very reasonable and the servings were ample (couldn't finish mine). I had a chicken salad sandwich on a croissant that would have rivaled one found in downtown... More

had breakfast here before the train. Great food all around. My husband said his steak and eggs were perfect. Definately recommend.

The vegatable plate was good. The service was slow. Prices ate reasonable. Good family place. Parking is hard due to sharing with several other businesses..

We ate breakfast here and it was very good. But the servers were super friendly and that made the difference. Really enjoyed how nicely we were treated.

My husband and I ate at the Iron Skillet because we wanted a little country cooking that night. We ordered their special, Chicken fried Steak, with vegetables, etc. My first bite of the fried steak tasted a little like fried fish. I think they used the same oil they cooked the fish in. It wasn't that great, but it was... More

This was a fish dinner that was advertised on the blackboard, complete with rice, vegetable and small salad. A new waitress came to our table, was understandably nervous on her first night, but had help from another waitress. I said that I'll have the fish dinner, in this case, Tilapia. The waitress asked if I wanted potato, but I found... More

Would love to be able rate this place. However, we arrived (unbeknownst) 15 minutes before closing time (we got there at 6:45 pm on a Saturday night) and waited 15 minutes for a seat-yourself table to open. When one did and we made our way to it, the waitress made it very clear that it was past closing time and... More

My boyfriend and I stopped in at the Iron Skillet yesterday for lunch.. I have had quite a hankering for some good seafood lately, but didn't expect to find it in Bryson City!! Much to my surprise, the Iron Skillet satisfied that craving with a heaping helping of fried clams-accompanied by a big baked potato, cole slaw and hushpuppies for... More
