Tucked just off a main road in Black Mountain, the Fresh Wood Fired Pizza & Pasta is dependably delicious. I enjoyed a pizza here two-months prior; the return visit did not disappoint. The friendly service was excellent and the food impressed even our foodie friend. We admired the twirling of the homemade pizza dough in front of the wood-fired oven... More

This little pizza place has great pizza made with fresh local ingredients in their own oven. The crust is great and they make fresh loaves af bread daily that's wonderful. I pick one up regularly. Definitely recommend!

Our party of five had spent the afternoon hiking Greybeard Trail and my daughter (who summers in Montreat) suggested we try this restaurant. The food and service were great! Upon the advice of my daughter, my teenage son ordered a half-portion of angel-hair pasta and was still amazed at the portion size. As soon as I saw my lasagna, I... More

Great toppings to a really tasty and chewy crust. If you like yours truly crisp, ask them to 'burn it'. Char spots alone (as noted on the menu) do not guarantee that you have ended the journey from chewy to crispy. Tucked away and small, but totally worth finding.

Their pizzas are inventive, made with fresh local ingredients, and the beer is excellent! Do yourself a favor the next time you're in Black Mountain and check out Fresh. You can even bring Fido with you on the porch.

This restaurant just does not disappoint. Great fresh wood fired pizza, imaginative combinations, fresh ingredients, and moderate prices. How can one go wrong? Fantastic pizzas, great tasting, with everything fresh. Moderate but very good wine list. Attentive, prompt service. Moderate pricing. No wonder they have a crowd, but they serve a lot of people fast. Go there, you will not... More

Though others in our party had eaten at Fresh before, it was my first time. It will definitely not be my last. The pizza was great as was the salad and the portions were generous. I was offered a "taste" of a beer I wanted to try and even it was great. They also had other delicious looking dishes. If... More

Another favourite spot of locals as we discovered. Casual atmosphere, good service and great pizza. Busy spot so you need to get there early!

Went for dinner with friends while staying in Black Mountain to visit The Biltmore Estate. We ordered salads and pizzas. The pizza was outstanding! Atmosphere very casual and friendly.
