When your evening starts with duck parfait and truffle butter as accompaniments to the bread you know you are in for a culinary treat. We had the degustation menu and the food was exquisite. I had the matched wines but found that neither red enhanced the meal. The pinot noir had an incredibly sharp bouquet reminiscent of acetone. I don't... More

Everything here is perfect, from the gorgoeus setting, to the helpful manager who squeezed us in, and particularly the food and wine. Long-serving executive chef Tony Howell is a local from Gracetown who uses the freshest local ingredients in a beautiful way, elevating him above other local chefs. The three course menu at $145 is the best money you can... More

We recently booked a table at Cape Lodge. When making the booking, I mentioned my partner was both pregnant and didn't eat fish. This got the usual 'We'll note that down' response. But it was so much more than that, as we later found out. The restaurant itself is very nice - well decorated, well lit. The view is out... More

We ate twice at this restaurant while staying at the Hotel on a Gourmet break, which was one of the reasons for booking the hotel. In both cases the food was really excellent. Although the menu is not overly extensive, the system is that there is a selection of 6+ choices from which you choose which you want as starter,... More

The food was wonderfully presented and very tasty. Service was intentionally slow but a bit too lingering for my liking.

This is truly an excellent chef and kitchen team. Great food, perfectly prepared with a great sense of originality. Congratulations. Friendly and effective staff, good wines, served at the perfect temperature. But... the dining room is spacious, large tables, overlooking a lake but dull "decorated". It looks too enormous, very high ceiling, naked windows. We suggest that the management applies... More

The setting, food and service are faultless and must be experienced to understand why it is so good. The 5 course set menu is a great combination of flavours which the maitre de can round off with a red or white

This place is outstanding! I had the Sashimi for entree and the Marron for mains. My wife had the King Prawn for entree and the Scallops and Pork for main. Each plate looked fantastic; a work of art. We were served an Aperitif and palate cleanser as well. Simone looked after us; friendly but totally professional. The breakfasts were just... More
