Description: Capriccio Saratoga, sibling to Albany's renowned Cafe Capriccio, serves authentic Neapolitan cuisine including wood fired pizza (Vera Pizza Napolitana) assorted antipasti rustica, traditional regional pastas, bountiful main courses, and fabulous homemade desserts. Saratoga's most exciting new restaurant operated by Jim and Franco Rua. The Rua family restaurants have been Capital Region favorites for more than 35 years. Outdoor seating. Ideally located next to Congress Park. Already regarded as one of the area's finest restaurants, and a local favorite. Franco and I love the cuisine of Napoli and it's people. We have visited the Campania region many times and are delighted to present Capriccio Saratoga as our tribute to Napoli, an exciting city filled with love, sunshine, great conviviality and fabulous food. We felt the menu was quite limited but what we ate was great... The Spaghetti with fruta-di-mare was excellent as well as a scallop special which was cooked perfectly. The beet salad was subtle; not as good as at neighboring competing restaurants though. The server forgot bread, we had to ask twice after she said, "I'll bring over some fresh... More

This place is two streets away from broadway where most of the restaurants are situated in saratoga which is why it's forgotten about. We have been twice and both times have loved it. The food is amazing and the service attentive but not false or in your face. They custom made a pizza for us and it was delicious. They... More

We dined early on Saturday night and we were welcomed and seated promptly. Waiter paced the meal according to our wishes. Drinks were made well but no beer on tap. 2 of us had a homemade ravioli with butternut squash that was a generous portion and very tasty. Another companion thoroughly enjoyed a ziti with meat sauce. Other items of... More

I am a foodie and a professional chef. We made a resi on open table, easy and professional. The table was perfect, the service was off the charts good, the food was a thing of beauty with taste to match. By the way Mr. Owner, we had a 5:30 resi. Go to this place and you will not be disappointed!!!

The good news: very friendly staff and helpful for us with a last minute reservation and an elderly guest who was determined to eat here ( I had to run and get him while my wife waited). Interesting building outside and they just redid the sidewalk. The bad news: Over priced italian peasant food. I had spaghetti puttanesca...delicious, but $20... More

I live in Boston and the North End is like Pizza Hut compared to this place. I've been to Italy and the food here is on par with much of the food I ate there. Simply put, this restaurant serves up some excellent Italian food. The staff is friendly and efficient and the setting is very cozy. The prices are... More
