Description: Situated in the heart of beautiful downtown Saratoga Springs, Chianti Il Ristorante serves sophisticated, authentic Northern Italian fare in an elegant setting. Combining seasonal food, an award-winning wine selection, a welcoming and knowledgeable staff and a detailed, inviting ambiance Chianti provides every guest with a superb and unforgettable dining experience. Aesthetically inspiring, its rustic walls, hard wood floors and green onyx bar invoke the authenticity of conventional Italian architecture while remaining slightly modern. The culinary philosophy at Chianti is based on a respect for tradition. With artisan breads and pastas, housemade sausage and braised meats it is culinary craftsmanship at its best. Our guests have the chance to savor fresh food, from a selection of expertly-sliced carpaccio, to a variety of wild fish, to risotto that is made only with Vialone Nano rice grown exclusively in Italy's Venetto region. "The hottest restaurant in town." The New York Times

We went to Chianti with a college friend, his wife, their daughter, and her 3-year-old. 6 pm for the sake of the 3YO. Everything was excellent -- food, service, ambience. My own meal was very good, but it was only pasta and sausage, but my fellow diners all said theirs were truly excellent (two steaks, one ossobuco (from pork, amazingly)).... More

I have frequented this restaurant since its inception. When I saw the renovations to an ugly fast food place transforming it into something compelling, I walked in and met the owner, David Zecchini, who, reminiscent of the generosity I'd experienced travelling in Italy, immediately offered me an exquisite ball of mozzarella di bufala, which melted in my mouth. Without an... More

Dined there two years ago and decided to return to celebrate our anniversary. We have eaten at all of the DZ Restaurant Group restaurants and this was the most disappointing experience we have ever had. Atmosphere was loud to almost deafening, Chairs were very uncomfortable and difficult to sit through our meal. It was an extremely hot evening outside and... More

The food was OK, but Everything seemed to be either stuffed or slathered in a sauce. The service was a little slow, but terrific. The staff really seemed to try hard. I was happy to find a couple of reasonably-priced wine picks. I was also pleased that the wines were served at the proper temperature. If you need a good,... More

This place is OK ... the staff is great the happy hour is good but skimpy... like silly skimpy, but the staff makes it worth coming back once in a while. Not my first choice but an easy one if you want to sit at the bar and have a little snack and some entertaining chit chat.

We were in Saratoga Springs for one night. The owner of the local kitchen store recommended Chianti (among others) and it was fantastic! We went on Mother's Day evening when it was busy but the service was great. Wonderful meals for both of us. Restaurant management needs to know, in particular, what a gem they have in Kim, our waitress.... More

Great atmosphere. Loud and vibrant - if you're expecting a quiet evening, not the place to go. Good happy hour specials. Interesting menu, from wood-fired pizzas to intricate entrees.

I gave this place an overall rating of "average" -- but it was not. First, there is an overall attitude and the customer service is terrible. We were told that we would be seated in a few minutes and asked to wait at the bar. Small bar, not good service there either. Our drinks were rushed and poorly made --... More

The only thing good I found was the ambiance. The food was average at best and over priced and the chairs made my butt sore. I grew up where I could get real Italian food at a fair price, To me this place is all hype.
