It was fun, but not a cozy place. Big open area, good food and fun with large group because they have the space.

Love the atmosphere and love the food. The wine is a bit pricey but they have a two for one night. It's the best thing that happened to the neighborhood!
After going several times, we've concluded that the sides & appetizers make the trip worthwhile, but the entrees consistently fail to live up to expectations. The atmosphere is cozy and historically intriguing and the bar is great. Definitely good for appetizers & drinks with friends.
Just the setting alone is pretty cool, former firehouse and all. We have been there about 5 times, and the food is pretty darn good. The burgers and the pasta dishes stand out. Its the kind of place that feels intimate and comfortable.
Great food at reasonable price. Loved the building and the decorations of the fire house. Service was a bit slow not too sure if it was the server or the kitchen staff.
Top five positive comments:
1. It's an old firehouse - fun atmosphere especially if you're a first responder.
2. A good selection of beer and nice bar area.
3. The fried pickles were the perfect side to my steak sandwich.
4. Waitress was accommodating but a little slow.
5. Quiet place for lunch, busy bar for Friday night.

Ever since I discovered this restaurant I keep returning. Portions are Hugh. Love the Mac and cheese, so creamy and enough to feed 3 people. Love the old firehouse memorabilia. Outdoor area is nice in the summer. Live how they keep the firehouse door open in summer to bring outdoors in.
This refurbished Fire House is always busy and full of people having fun. The service is great and the food is very good. On warm summer evenings there are some tables outside, but being few they are always in high demand. I certainly have never been sorry for stopping by after a day of sailing on Lake Ontario.
Although very busy, we were seated immediately with our reservations. Server danielle was friendly and attentive. Atmosphere was great, food really good and interesting. Only drawback is the limited bar- beer and wine only, but good selections.
Very busy bar area, but two floors of tables and good sound control. The fire pole is still there from the second floor but it does have a fence around it. The menu is broad but has a slant to seafood and another towards Italian. I don' mean to slight the steaks and chops. Didn't sample the desserts. Nice private...
