This was the first time I ate here. We had a late lunch after visiting some places that stretched from Queens to Westchester and back to the East Elmhurst. The service was excellent. I've been to a good number of diners in many states and the food here was much better than I expected in portions that were so big... More

I usually come here for the breakfast and service. The waiters are awesome. Although the Belgium waffles are only served until 11am weekdays and 2pm weekends, they are worth getting up early for. I also recommend the fresh vegetable omelette and burgers!

If you have access to a car in la guardia airport area this is huge value for money diner. Giant portions small price and classic diner fare, most mains come with coleslaw and pickle in tru diner tradition. Desserts huge and inexpensive :) salmon portions are crazy big, breakfast sausages the fattest you have seen, paninis can double as 2... More

The hotel staff recommended this diner for a quick bite after we got off the plane. It definitely hit the spot. They had a full menu, it was clean, bright, and we had the most fun waitress, who had been there for years. It is a very popular spot, because the place was full from the moment we walked in... More

I've been going to the Buccaneer since they opened it, I believe. There have been days when I've eaten three square in that place. Across the parking lot used to be the Deerhead Diner which is now a dry cleaner and the Walgreens across the street used to be the Mark Twain diner. I usually just go in and "belly... More

Was in Queens for the weekend to watch my son perform at Queens Theater, and did not have any idea where to go to eat. Got lucky when the cook failed to show up for work at the first restaurant we went to, and the waitress directed us down the road to this diner. We ended up eating lunch there,... More

It was easy to get to, was a genuine New York diner experience for those fatigued with standard hotel buffet fare, and even had good parking. Try the pancakes, great!

It seems this restaurant is not friendly to a new customer. I felt uncomfortable when being ignored for a long time, when there were not many customers but a bunch of waiters walking around. My waiter looked at me as looking at an alien. Food and price are just OK.

although there were several folks ahead of us, the wait was only 10 minutes. The food was very tasty, the service quick and very courtious!
