My husband & I ate lunch here after going to the museums. The food was okay but pricewise we got more for our money at Market St. Brewing Co.
Great Service, Great Food, Great atmosphere, Great for family or night out with friends. Our server was very friendly. Tables covered with brown paper and guests encouraged to draw crayon pictures. Put Spiderman pic my son drew on wall.
i love this place! The food is really good and the owner is great. The prices are a little high but it's worth it. Me and my husband go here every year for our anniversary. We always get the wings, which are really good. The cornbread is the BEST!
Had the pleasure of eating a late lunch at this restaurant today. Loaded nachos(home made) were very good. They came with pulled pork and jalepeno peppers. My sister and I had the Firecracker burger. It was very tasty. The burger was accompanied with spicy mayo, pepper jack cheese, salsa and jalepeno peppers. It was jot but not too hot. The... More
Terrific food, great atmosphere. Wine list was ok. But the crab cakes were awesome!! Wait staff was helpful and knowledgeable!
From reading the reviews, I was excited to try Holmes Plate. I am leaving here disappointed. My food wasn't the best and it was burnt. The place could be a little cleaner and there were flys buzzing all over from the open windows.
Came to the Finger Lakes Wine Region for a weekend getaway and stayed in Corning. Upon walking up and down Market Street we encountered Holmes Plate and decided to give it a shot and we were not disappointed. They have an awesome beer selection and the smoked brisket was very good as well as the pulled pork. Service was excellent,... More
Our annual summer trips to the finger lakes always include stopping at Holme's Plate 54. This weekend's meal included burgers, perfect sweet potato fries, distinctive nachos and Brendan's famous ribs to go. All the food is prepared fresh from scratch and was cooked as requested - the burgers and fries were exceptional. The berry slushies (wine based) are a fabulous... More
Waitress was more interested in telling us where the bathrooms were than the specials. (we did not even ask about bathrooms!) Burgers were overdone ..... bacon forgotten from bacon + cheese burger. Chips were good. Milkshake was milk and strawberry flavoring --- too watery! Pricey for burgers and fries that were sub-quality! I was here twice last year and enjoyed... More
The ambiance of the open window draws you in but the food is mediocre at best. Avoid the owner at all costs, as he goes out of his way to demean the customers. A business run like this would never survive in a town with more competition.
