Becky does a great job serving out excellent cuisine at this small cafe in the heart of Ruidoso. Soups, sandwitches, salads, lunch entre's and don't forget to try her Buttermilk Chess pie. Hopefully, the weather is great so you can sit outside to enjoy the cool pines. The staff is attentive. My only recommendation is to get there early because... More

We ate brunch out on the patio at this cute village restaurant. The staff provided friendly and efficient service and the food was great! We had the quiche which was priced well and tasted very good. We would return again for the desert!

They r only open for lunch 10:30-2:30. Have very fresh ingredients and quick prep. food the way u would make at home...not greasy or cheap ingredients. Also have vegetarian options. Plan to take a pie home if u can. Staff very friendly.

The food at The Village Buttery is incredible. All the sandwiches are full of flavor and taste amazing. I had the turkey sandwich on croissant with tomato basil soup and it was insane. Not to mention how friendly the staff was and what a great location it is to the midtown shops. The buttermilk pie will make you want another... More

We went to this place based on all the wonderful reviews we saw here on TripAdvisor and were disappointed. It was a cute place. I love that they put sprouts on their sandwiches, but they also slather on mayonnaise. My daughter scraped a tablespoon off each slice of her bread. My husband's "medium rare" roast beef was brown. The tomato... More

The only drawback is that the Buttery is on the main street and always crowded. Becky does a wonderful lunch and I highly recommend it.

The village buttery is by far the best place in town to eat for lunch and their caterings are amazing. Everyone is always so nice kinda like a home away from home. The food is amazing. Everything is so fresh and very tasty. I can't say what is my favorite because everything is so good.

Small and quaint with good simple foods; salads and sandwiches. Parking is big a problem. Close to Mid town shopping.

Very nice building! Reminded me of an old cafe i'd find in England. The location is a bit peculiar if you drive there, the main road provokes parking issues. The food though is great and very tasty. Prices are a bit steep for what you actually get, but it is all fresh made so you don't mind paying that little... More
