The test tubes for starters are a little gimmicky, but the rest of the meal was excellent, the service good, and the decor is very pleasing. We had Maylay curry fish for a starter and tried the Springbok shank. Both very good. More

After reading recommendations for Ryan's, we were especially excited ahead of our visit. While the atmosphere and the service were exceptional, we weren't over awed with the food on this occasion. The place was really lovely and the service friendly, efficient yet relaxed. The food was unusual, but all the ingredients married well and we enjoyed every morsel. Loved it. More

After running the 2 Oceans marathon, a group of us came to Franschoek for some culinary rewards. Our evening at Ryan's was outstanding. Some had the Chef selection and were delighted. Another great meal in Franschhoek ! We had the tasting menu which was excellent, with a wonderful bottle of Chocolate Block - bliss. It was our last evening, so a great way to end our holiday. Thank you to Ryan and his staff. More

What a fabulous place. We had the 3 course meal on our first visit which we enjoyed so much we went there again and had the 8 course tasting menu. Absolutely great!
