Although the food is delicious in Monster Sushi I would eat there more often if not for the exorbitant prices.Perhaps it is the location as Summit NJ is known as a wealthy neighborhood and I imagine the rent in the middle of this town is quite pricey,That being said the rolls are just not worth it.

Ordered food for delivery online. Waited an hour and didn't receive so we called restaurant. Woman in the phone took our name and address then said the delivery man left 10 minutes ago he might take awhile because of some road closures. Another 30 minutes goes by and still no food. We call back the woman says that we have... More

I am a 10+ year customer. (Before that a 10 year customer at Monster NY) Our most recent take out order is worth noting. The Sushi Pizza was beautiful to look at, crispy and delicious. Same for the Focaccia Roll.

I felt that the prices were excessive for sushi but at least you can save money by bringing your own alcohol. The portions are huge as with most US restaurants - we ordered the mixed sushi/sashimi platter for 4 and 2 extra rolls and that easily fed 7 people. It was all good without being brilliant.

Every time I've eaten here, I have had good service and great food. The staff is friendly and the menu is extensive. BYOB for those who want. One of my favorites is the mango salmon salad. The hot towel they bring you for your hands at the beginning is a nice touch. Their green tea has a lovely hint of... More

If you want sushi, walk three blocks over to Taka Sushi where the prices are lower and you can actually taste the fish. I stopped in Monster Sushi today for lunch and should have walked out as soon as I saw that every roll was $2 or 3 more than other restaurants in the area. Instead I stayed and spent... More

I want to thank you for taking the time to review our restaurant. I am happy to hear that you have found a cheap sushi restaurant 3 blocks away. Great sushi is not inexpensive, it can't be due to the high cost of quality fish, we also find that our customers are discriminating in their tastes and that's why many... More

This used to be my favorite sushi place for years. Unfortunately in recent months the fish just hasn't been nearly as fresh. I hate to say it because ive been going for years, but honestly it is just going downhill. Sorry Monster Sushi :(

I had a really tasty dinner here last night. The key to enjoying Monster Sushi is to approach it as an all-around Japanese restaurant, not just another sushi place. I had 3 dishes (none of which were sushi) and the tab came to $40. Not cheap, but I believe the prices reflect the fact that many people in Summit work in... More
