This restaurant closed a few months ago. We only had bad experiences here with food and hostess service.
They were still doing over-designed, architectural food in the mid-2000s, five years after everyone else stopped. They're still doing it. Enough said.
Horrible food. The filet mignon was first well done when I asked for medium then I got a fatty grizzly piece of crap. The rest of the meal was below average. Can't believe they can stay in business in Princeton. Will never go back again.
We came to the Ferry House on a Sunday evening with friends to celebrate a happy occasion. There were few diners at the restaurant at that time. I enjoyed the wild mushroom risotto appetizer and a salmon entree. The portobello bisque was less enjoyable, mostly due to the fried leeks that were dry and fibrous. The restaurant is a shadow of the place we knew sometime back. The wait staff is unprofessional for an establishment with this pricing of dishes. I used to come here almost every week several years ago, but after starting it was not the case anymore. Also, when I went there may be two years ago there were different people and the food seems different too. So it was a great surprise recently when we went there with the friends - a lot of old staff... More
After walking around and checking restaurants in Princeton, our group decided on The Ferry House. The restaurant is upscale in décor, the menu varied with several specials available. Our group of 6 ordered the specials,(starters and entrees) which were excellent and beautifully presented. The service was also excellent and very professional. The specials were "pricey"($40.00 per entrée) which we were... More
This BYO bottle establishment is venerable, but has seen better days. It could use a makeover - both menu and ambiance wise. It still has sentimental value for many; neverthless, there are better places to choose in Princeton.
Small but cozy interior. EXCELLENT food...great wait staff. Did I mention the food is Excellent. Definitely try to have dinner here. A bit pricy but someone in the kitchen is giving thought to what they put together, how it all works and what their guests experience. YUMMY
The Ferry house has gone through some hard times. however, now that it has reopened, we visited and found the food to be excellent. the service is also very professional.
