It is comfortable to go to a restaurant owned and operated by people who care about what they do. We particularly enjoy going downstairs to the casual bar for an impromptu dinner or lunch. The cobb salad is wonderful. They make both sweet potato and regular fries to accompany your meal. Good people serving good food. Thank you 11 Water... More

Downtown Exeter has some great places to eat, and this is one of the best. The food is delicious, the staff is super friendly and fast, and the prices are perfect. They tend to have some good micro brews on tap, if that's something that you enjoy. Check them out.

I have been to the downstairs bar at 11 Water Street a few times now, and I enjoy the atmosphere and quality of the food that is served. They have a decent selection of draft beers, which are always cold, and also have drinks and wine. I usually have the Turkey, Brie, and Granny Smith Apple Panini, which is excellent,... More

The food was fabulous here! I had a butternut squash root vegetable risotto that was to die for, even though it was a touch on the sweet side from just a bit too much brown sugar. My husband's filet was perfect and the potatoes (had a funny name, don't remember) were delicious! Almost like a scalloped potato. Even though we... More

Delicious stuffed portobello mushroom caps. Great, attentive service. Bit pricey, but worth it on the whole.

I enjoyed a lovely evening here with friends after a concert. The gnocchi I had was absolutely excellent both in flavor and texture. The martini was large, and the serve it in a separate flask which they keep on ice. It was a nice touch. The atmosphere is conducive to conversation and good times. The onion rings and explosive chicken... More

Bar is right on the river, downstairs, very scenic. Food is excellent, and easy to share appetizers while having drinks. The drinks are also reasonably priced, and the service is very good.

On a first visit, I'm inclined to give Exeter's 11 Water Street the benefit of the doubt and a return visit when the chance arises. I arrived alone, on a Thursday night, having just arrived after a long trip, and took the recommendation of my hotel. Without a reservation I slipped into the only available table -- suggesting that advance... More

The food was good but the service spotty. Nice dining room and a very good menu. There was an interesting twist on American classics.

we go there once a month if not more, has a good menu and service. The restaurant has a nice setting and view of the river.
