My wife and I got married on November 17, 2012 at the Rivermill at Dover Landing and had the Orchard Street Chop Shop cater our wedding. As my wife and I were starting our wedding planning, we decided that the two most important things for us would be good food and good music. Our guests and we were delighted with... More

Had an occasion to eat at The Chop Shop for the umteenth time... My wife and I live in Portland, Me and travel at least 4x a year to eat here. THIS time it was the rehearsal dinner for my daughter's marriage to a wonderful Greek gentleman from Dover, and we took over the entire downstairs ! Food as always... More

The Chop House recently hosted my mother's 90th birthday dinner. Ages ranged from 90 down to 5! Everyone's needs were met with courteous and professional service. The food was delivered at the same time , everything hot and beautifully presented. The children's menu was a huge hit with all the great grandchildren! I would highly reccomend that if your special... More

I selected this restaurant as we 4 couples we were dining with. We were seated immediately and were told by 3 servers who our was and that she would be with soon. Well it 30 to get a drink. It took over an hour for our. The big disappointment was that the 3 people who ordered steaks (dry aged) were... More

The fried chicken, the alligator cheesecake, the steaks... this place is perfect for my family. Whenever we want a nice meal out, the Chop Shop is where we head. The upstairs bar is perfect for a casual evening, and downstairs is great for a romantic night out with my husband. The staff has always had a bit of a relaxed... More

One of the only steak houses in the area--certainly beats all the chains but does not live up to the price. Wine list is also way over priced

My family and I had been looking forward to going to the Chop House for some time, saving it for a special occasion. We average a good meal out twice a week and really looked forward to the Chop House. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed. The service was good, but the chicken my wife had was very dry and tasteless.... More

My wife and I ordered medium rare steaks, one elk and one NY strip. Both steaks came out tough and over cooked. I never send food back and don't accept free food from an establishment that i complain to the staff about. All in all the lack of quality in the way that my steak was prepared makes me not... More

Having been out and about and in a festive mood, we decided to try the Chop for the 1st time. The hot rolls were very good - setting our expectations for a nice dinner. The Kansas steak was dry and overcooked - not worth the $46 for the steak alone. The creamed corn lacked character and the few string fries... More

I was excited to go to the Chop Shop because I heard it was a good restaurant. We did not have a reservation. We were offered a table upstairs in the tavern. I know this place is a steak place, but we were in the mood for pub food, so we ordered off the tavern menu. The menu had 4-5... More
