WOW! This place is family owned and run. The owners were out of town involved in yet another chili cook off! We will be back many times!

You must try the chili...it's homemade by the owners who have won several chili cookoff awards all around the country. Stop in & look at all the rewards hanging on the walls! You will not be sorry you ate here!
Here is the scene:It's about 6 in the afternoon; the sun is starting to go down; it's starting to cool off; I'm sitting at an outdoor communal table talking with other travelers drinking a draft beer and eating a good burger; the local bikers are smoking and drinking and having a great time and the dogs are barking. We ended up here one night while in Beatty and we're glad we did.
The beer selection was pretty good considering the size of the town but if you want to fit in, I'd order the Bud.
The chili was the best I've had though I've not tried other award-winning chili. We ordered seconds and thirds.

This is a very charming spot with a great patio. The chili and beer were quite good. This is definitely a very nice option (out of very few indeed) in Beatty.
...this has to be one of my bestest "Ice cold in Alex" icy lager moments of my life (as well as one in Sumatra and another in St Lucia) it was very hot, the beer very refreshing and the bowl of chili very delicious if you are a fan of spicy food. Visited Rhyolite during the daytime late morning. For...

There were 8 people in there (and the dog with her usual chair apparently) and it was full! Small, friendly, quirky place with pretty good chili served five ways, that's it. Oh, yeah..there's beer too. A must when you're in the area.
Really small INSIDE BAR with a large outside area! Such a cool place and DON'T MISS HAVING THE CHILI!! CHECK out the entire wall of awards for the chili & salsa inside too! SMOKING IS ALLOWED INSIDE, BUT THE AIR IS PRETTY CLEAR!
This is by far the best bar for miles around just outside Death Valley National Park. Enjoy it after visiting Rhyolite ghost town and cemetery. Full bar, $2 icy cold draft beers and $6 pitchers; chili, hot dogs and burgers. We had the most expensive menu item, the chili burger for $7. Outstanding! Locals are extremely welcoming and we met...
