Don't miss this place! It's small, but awesome food! I had a pizza and my wife had lasagna, both were huge portions and very good! The whole place was great! If you have to wait to get in, wait, it's worth it! I'd definatly go back!

We enjoyed another evening of great Italian food and service. My wife and I have made Ciao Mambo a regular stop on our monthly visits to Whitefish. This cozy restaurant has a very authentic menu of tasty cuisine. Our compliments to Nicolai be his team for their excellent service and atmosphere.
We had heard about this place from a firend and it delivered - what a great place to have dinner. We arrived just as they opened and where 20th in line - got a seat without having to wait and had a wonderful meal. My daughters loved all the drawns on the celiing and enjoyed the food. I was simply...

WOW, cozy, busy, loud, everything a great restaurant should be. Who does not like Sinatra & Dino for music. World"s best garlic bread, yummy appetizer"s, superb pasta"s, tasty pizzas, friendly staff.
An "Excellent" rating is a requirement when your only complaint about a restaurant is that the food portions were HUGE!
Our table ordered four separate dishes, each of which was terrific (Papa Biagio's Bolognese was spectacular), and we could have easily managed on just two.
The hostess seated us promptly, our waitress was attentive and efficient, and the staff were...

most of my criticisms are due to the fact that this place is too noisy. It is impossible to have a conversation there. The italian food is okay, but I am from Chicago, and we have pretty good Italian.
The food is unreal! The service is amazing! You must try the appetizer nachos no words could explain the deliciousness of the nachos.....could not stop eating all night even though our Stomachs were going to explode and still took dessert home. Sparking red wine is also a must have if you prefer sweeter wines.
We arrived just as a line was beginning to form and got in pretty quickly. The five of us were seated at the high top overlooking the kitchen. Normally I wouldn't have been very pleased with that location but at this restaurant it was a treat to watch the kitchen staff create plate after plate of wonderful looking food. When...

We ate at Ciao Mambo on a week night when the noise level from SMALL children was almost intolerable due to the spoons banging on tables and the piercing screams of spoiled brats whose parents were either deaf, socially clueless or both. The owners are obviously more interested in seeing how close they can come to the fire marshall's capacity...

Enjoyed our 30th anniversary meal here. The food was outstanding, and the waitress was very attentive. It would have been wonderful if someone from the restaurant had addressed the VERY noisy party seated directly behind us. While we completely understand the intimate nature of the facility, and the normal din from a busy facility, these people succeeded at being, by...
