The smoked tater salad is far and away the best potato salad I have ever tried and one of my all time favorite dishes period.

We came to the Shak strictly due to good reviews. We were not disappointed. Gizzards, fries, catfish poboy sandwich and sweet potato fries. All delicious! We were greeted immediately when walking in. The young lady must have noticed our ignorance and asked if we were familiar with the menu. We weren't, so she went through it. We were pleased with... More

We had some alligator bites (really good) and the catfish poboy. The meal was great. However, the stuffed potato with pulled pork was wonderful. Tender, flavorful and the best meal we had in Montana.

We had a GREAT lunch here and then forgot to write a review - here it is. Great food, friendly staff and great service - what more could we have asked for? Not sure when we will get back but when we do we'll stop by again and I HOPE they are selling their sauce by then - the BEST!!!... More

Lots of fried foods on the menu - my husband loves the fried spicy pickles. The BBQ pork was ok, but high in fat.

They are very friendly there they even have tried to help me save money by trying to show me what to order to save money, but the seating is'nt great with duck tapered seats for when they rip. Also every meat but the pulled pork is very fatty

I read through some of the reviews and noted that a couple people had claimed that The Shak's chicken was "greasy". I honestly cannot figure out why anyone would think so. The chicken at The Shak is the least breaded "Southern Fried" chicken I have encountered, yet the delightfully spiced skin does an excellent job of sealing in all the... More

I'd rather eat gas station chicken. Being from the south, I know what fried chicken should taste like.

As a "Southerner" who eats; chicken, ribs, steak, crawfish, gator, frog legs, fried turkey, gizzards, boudin, coon, squirrel, rabbit and anything else that runs or crawls, I along with a ton of customers have raved about the chicken. I normally go to gas stations for gas, but hey that's me. This reminds me of the commercial where the guy stops... More

If your looking for a fancy restaunt to take your millionaire cousin from Switzerland, this may or may not be your place. They have plastic utensils and paper plates. But the food is well worth the wait:) don't be fooled by its looks. The staff is always making sure the food is excellent, if its not to your likings they... More

A very friendly staff and the food is great. I recommend everyone to try the loaded smoked potato. It was the best meal we had!
