Not the same as it used to be, they changed their bbq sauce awhile back and we haven't been for awhile because of that. We decided to try it again and see if they had brought the old sauce, they didn't. Our waitress was fine but the food was slow, people that had came in after us got their food... More

Been here many times. The decor is not inviting even for a BBQ joint. The food on the other hand is very good. The turkey is the best I have ever had. The tenderloin is small but very good. Potato casserole is a must try. Pulled pork is excellent, not fatty like you often find. The ham and brisket is... More

Heard about this restaurant from a museum employee in St Jo's and decided to try it out. Had the homemade chips with sauces, the brisket combo, and the rib combo with sides. Their sides were all homemade-potato casserole is to die for and is owners own recipe. Best stand out food of our 4 week trip. Owners are hands on.... More

BBQ is just OK. Friendly staff. Meat is tender but sauce is average. Workingman's BBQ.

Just dined here today for lunch with spouse and friends. There is an expanded menu with items previously not available. I enjoyed the tenderloin sandwich. It's not a monster but it is a reasonable size and good flavor. Several in the group had catfish filets and enjoyed them. I heard some good comments on the onion rings. One now orders... More

This is even better than the more well-known places in KC. Our KC friends drive up to Savannah to eat at Goochy Goo!

This place is absolutely yummy. Only downside is that they are closed on Monday!

You order up front and then have a seat to eat. Not for a date, but if you want good BBQ and sides, it's good stuff!!

Informal dining is featured in this locally owned restaurant. Seasonal outdoor seating is available in addition to a variety of indoor seating options. The meats are smoky flavored and there are three flavors of BBQ Sauces to add. Very flavorful sides are available and a variety of drinks including beer is available. Sandwiches feature generous portions. The ribs are always... More

Goochy Goo's is one of our favorite local spots. It's better than your average bbq joint, and definitely gives you that homey, friendly vibe. They offer a variety of meats and sandwiches including chicken, pork, and beef, sides such as cheesy potato casserole, potato salad, as well as a variety of homemade sauces. My only complaint is that they close... More
