My daughter thought it was very cool that you yell out your order to the cooks, and the steaks were wonderful. I loved the fact that they have fried okra on the menu. The desserts even received the wifes approval, and that's not easy!

Not a true steakhouse experience. Fortunately the staff warned me about both the okra and the mushroom sides: they are deep fried. Next time a visit my daughter at SLU I will find a true steakhouse.

I am a big fan of the steakburger. It reminds me of trips I took there as a child. TBSH has a unique atmosphere that adds to the experience. You have workers on lunch break mixing with college students and the theater crowd.

I like this place. The food is not anything that will rock your world. You have to try something out of your comfort zone once in a while. Watch some soup nazi clips on youtube before you go. It will help you when you order! Seriously go here sometime!

And have your order ready when they call for you. We often go to the Best Steak House before (or after) enjoying a production at the Fox Theater or the Black Rep. The food is always excellent (and made quickly and accurately) and I will definitely return.

The food isn't that great, but it is a St. Louis Institution that needs to be experienced.
