We visited this location a few years ago, now about the same but under new management, which has done nothing but improved an excellent eatery. It's about as French as you can get without actually being there. It's decorated in bistro fashion with large, interesting posters on the walls and a casual, warm atmosphere. Service tables placed in sections to... More

Brasserie Niche has become a favorite of St. Louisans because it is consistently excellent. (Unlike its French predecessor in this space, owned and managed by others.) The food is great, very authentic. I particularly love the roast chicken, mussels and, of course, the frites. The vegetable soups also are quite good. They taste very rich but are, in fact, light... Went here again on Sunday 10 March 2013. As every time before, treated very well. Knowledgable staff really take care of you. The food is ever superb.

This is one of those rare restaurants where the food is worth all the money you spend on it -- and it's not cheap either. The bread is crusty on the outside and soft and delicious on the inside. I had the trout and almonds, and it was fabulous -- and I'm not a fish fan! (Just trying to eat... More

We drank more than we ate, however, the 2 items I did eat were the bread and a chicken dinner. I am not sure when or where I have had two items that were so delicious, I could not stop eating them. The bread rolls were as good as I have ever had and the chicken was melt in your... More

The bustle and zip of the Brasserie by Niche can be appealing, if you're in the mood for it. Sure, the place can be echoey and they proudly state they use frozen potatoes for the frites (because they beat everything else in taste tests), but that's the only thing I have to say that isn't a compliment. The food, no... More

The roasted chicken and beef bourguignon were prepared perfectly and deliciously. The Creme Brulee was awesome. The prices were over the top expensive. Nothing about the place made it worth the $175.51 bill. Salads are $8.25. Coffee $2.00. One glass of wine was $10.00. Creme Brulee was $8 for small serving. Delicious but I think pricing is excessive. We are... More

Paris Rive-Gauche in St. Louis! What a wonderful restaurant. Our recent visit on a crowded Saturday night was entirely enjoyable. Our food from Moules Marinieres, oysters on the half-shell, wonderful pan fried whitefish called Skate and the Bistro Filet were all spectacularly good. Decoration is simple but tasteful. Valet parking is provided. Service was excellent and non-obnoxious yet fast and... More

We originally had reservations at the restaurant next to this brasserie. We walked in and out due to the loud noise. We had a fantastic lunch at Niche. The setting is similar to a small place you would visit in Paris, our waiter was so professional, knowledable, and accomodating. The atmosphere was so lovely, I cannot wait to go back... More

We went back and it was as good as ever. Their chicken special was extraordinary and others enjoyed their famous gnocchi dish. From beginning to end we always like going back to Brasserie. Our server was very helpful with the wine selections and the food came out hot and quickly, we love the setting and the atmosphere. Keep up the... More
