Just a good ole fashion local pub with good wings and cold beer that is frequented by the locals. Nothing to great but nothing bad either.

St. Charles has several interesting, unique and high quality restaurants and bars. Big A's is NOT one of them.
The food is nothing you can't make at home, with ingredients you buy at the local grocery store for a small fraction of the cost. The portions are small: the ration of bread to meat and cheese on my corned beef...

Good place to watch sports and enjoy a moderate priced meal. Burgers, wings, sandwiches all good. I give it fewer star only because I'm waiting for St. Charles to go non-smoking. That is one of their biggest disadvantages to dining in St. Charles. All of St. Louis County has gone non-smoking and their business haven't been hurt so I'd like...

This is a mainstay establishment on Main Street in the bar district. The menu is about what you'd expect from a pub, but the quality is better than most. This is a great place . They have a great happy hour...1/2 price apps and drink specials. Really good wings...Thai chili are the best! And an amazing blue cheese burger with loads of blue cheese. Special seasoning on the chips too!
Visited Big A's with work friends. Overall a decent experience: service was good; ambience was ok; food was ok. I ordered a sandwich....there was not as much meat as I like. The rest of the meal was good (appetizer; lemonaide). Pricing was reasonable; parking was off-street.
Tiny sandwiches. The French dip was on a very small roll and the 4 oz burger was laughable. It was smaller than a McDouble. The buger was dry and cold when we got it. The fries were good especially the waffle fries.
Big A's serves some great burgers, wonderful homemade chips, and if you order the broccolli instead of fries, it's actually fresh and tasty. Have gone there several times, the back room lets you look out on the river, but the main room, a kind of old-style bar, is also fun. Locals and tourists welcome.
I'ts always fun going to Big A's. The food, music, drinks and staf are great.
We ate here on a Wednesday right around noon. It was busy but not crowded. We ate in the back and one waiter was handling all the tables, He did a great job and we were satisfied with his service. My daughter and I split the pulled pork sandwich with homemade chips. It was great. My son had the grilled...
