Description: The Majestic Restaurant carries on the Kansas City traditions of great food and great jazz. We serve brunch Saturday and Sunday, lunch Monday-Friday, and dinner seven nights a week. Featuring Kansas City's best dry-aged beef, chops, and seafood and located in the historic Fitzpatrick Saloon building at 10th and Broadway in downtown Kansas City, The Majestic Restaurant offers a true Kansas City dining experience like no other. Enjoy a great steak and fine wine in our main dining room alongside a grand bar dating back to 1910, or have dinner in our lower level jazz club, the site of an actual speakeasy during prohibition, all while listening to some of Kansas City's best jazz musicians seven nights a week. An extensive wine list, creative cocktails by nationally renowned bartender Shawn Moriarty, a list of over 100 whiskeys, and a sinful selection of delectable homemade desserts provide the perfect accompaniment to the meal and the music.

The food was perfect and our waiter provided exceptional service. We were seated toward the back so the noise level from the live music was just right. I can't believe I've lived here since 1962 and this was my first visit - it won't be my last.

It's a bit pricey, 66 dollar entree. However the food was perfect & the live jazz band added to the ambiance. The service was terrific, if you get a chance ask for one of Jeff's tables, he's a master in giving you just enough attention. The downstairs dinning room is the place to be. Live jazz, the jazz trio the... More

I had a plethora of steakhouse choices in Kansas City and selected The Majestic based upon the recommendation of some locals. Glad I did. Very impressive and historic old school ambiance, from the main level restaurant and bar to the downstairs jazz club section where they also serve food and have a cozy little bar. Started off with a bottle... More

My wife and I had Saturday brunch here before seeing a Musical at Music Hall. The menu is very extensive, but we ordered off the Restaurant Week Menu. I had the lamb patties and my wife had the grilled seafood brochette. The Soup was amazing, and so was everything else come to think of it. They were a little caught... More

My husband and I ate here for New Years Eve. When we made our reservation we asked to be seated somewhere close by the music, and that’s exactly what we got. We were front row. The basement is awesome, and the music is fantastic. The steak soup was my favorite part of my meal, and the whole reason I want... More

This is our second trip to the Majestic. Our 10 and 12 year olds love it. This time we were lucky enough to have a later reservation around 7:30pm so we were seating in the basement where the band was playing. Cool atmosphere, wonderful food, great service. We spent about 2.5 hours there just because we were enjoying the music.... More

We sat in the basement of the restaurant where it looks like an old private club. There was a band playing. It felt like I was in a scene in the Sopranos! Great food, great service. Will go back for sure!

I love the ambience of this place! The bartender told my date and I that it is haunted. With all the history of this old place - I bet it is!!

Pricey but worth it.. Great vintage feel. Our service was not perfect. Would return. Our table was too close to the band playing downstairs and we couldn't hear each other.

this place is not cheap, but you get what you pay for. The waiters know their stuff and treat you well. The quality of my meal was outstanding. Portions are large, so couples may consider splitting the main entry, which would be done for you without question. This was my second visit and both were quite satisfactory.
