Food and Malts were great. We have eaten there several times. Sometimes the wait is a little long. Overall I recommend it!
After reading so many rave reviews, my husband and I decided this must be the hidden gem of Jackson that we never knew about! Not so much... The atmosphere was quaint and the soda fountain was definitely a blast from the past. The service was good, but the burger was mediocre at best. We also tried the onion rings and... More
Nice atmosphere, friendly service, good food. My husband enjoyed his burger and I give the chicken salad sandwich a big thumbs up. I love the history of this place and the little gift shop with toys, candies, shirts and souvenirs. Bought myself a shirt. :)
My wife, daughter and I went there because it was used in one of the scenes in "The Help" (Daughter's choice). The food was mediocre. It was crowded so service was below average. The highlight? A peanut butter milkshake.
Took my baby twins, husband and six year old here for lunch on a local's rec for things to see in Jackson. The boys were kept entertained by all the action and noise around them, the six year old loved the cabinet of board games to play while we waited for our food. Her hotdog and my husband's pb/banana sandwich... More
Nostalgic atmosphere. Was pretty busy and service was slow. We had the saddest waiter on the planet. Not even a hint of a smile! Glad I went but probably won't go back. Food was very mediocre but milkshakes were awesome.
This is a Jackson Landmark and is notable to many people because of it being one of the areas that was used in the filming of The Help. The interior is very neat as it still fits right in with being in the 50's. I got a burger and chips which was pretty good, but I won't go home crowing... More
Brents is a great little diner in a fun neighborhood. (You feel like you have stepped back into the 60s.) It looks familiar because the movie - The Help - was filmed here. The food is cheap $5-10 and the milkshakes are a must.
This is definitely a place that every visitor to Jackson should try out. The attendant, was fantastic. She was informative, patient with all of our requests, and worked with us on the late arrival of some of our party. I believe her name was Katie or Cathy. Food: Very good. I had poached eggs, bacon (very average bacon), and homefries... More
