Good friends invited us to one of their very favorite mainstay restaurants and we were pretty excited, knowing what excellent cooks they themselves are. We were not disappointed. We both went for the Monday night special of filet medallions and were delighted ($12.95). One friend ordered spaghetti with meatballs which came loaded with shredded parmesan. The other got a large... More

Tried Sal's again yesterday, turkey /mashed potatoes was hot ( previous visits not so, food has been served cold ) .Green beans were soaked in mustard, missing the sprinkling of black sesame seeds. My Mom order fried chicken dinner....1st time ordering. Waitress indicated 1/2 of a chicken , mixed dark/white meat. It was only a mixture of 2 legs &... More

We met some friends here in Feb for lunch. We live close, but hadn't been here for a very long time, as the last time the food just wasn't very good. Since it had been so long, we agreed to try again. We're glad we did. I wouldn't say that it's gormet food, by any stretch of the imagination, but... More

Took 1 1/2 hours for food to arrive and then the two prime rib dinners were cold. The waitress was friendly and helpful, but the kitchen needs to step it up. Two visits in a row with cold food. We won't be returning.

We started out towards this place and the further into the country we got the more we felt like we'd punched the address into our GPS wrong. I figured so far in the sticks there would be 6 people and 3 staff members. The bar and dining room were 2/3 full and it was the best burger I've had in... More

I wouldn't go here if you paid me. The kitchen is disgusting and they've switched a lot of their homemade recipes to premade recipes. Such a disappointment. If you you want to avoid a sub-par meal and food poisoning go elsewhere :)

Went here on a business dinner, everyone said it was a great place and we had to try it. Kind of weird finding a place like this in the middle of miles of corn fields. The dining area is very rustic and inviting. The menu was very impressive, I tried a steak salad and my co-workers tried the various steak... More

I love turkey and meatloaf so it was a tough choice. The waitresse said the turkey was the most popular so that's what I ordered. It was GREAT !!!! More than I / we could eat and I look forward to the leftovers this evening. We like the inside table by the North window overlooking the pond and giant frog.... More

Casual, rustic atmosphere is a nice change from the metro chic. Good selection of comfort food and steaks, chicken, ribs, as as well as unique cocktails. Family-friendly, reasonably priced. Will dine here again.

We bought an online coupon deal (spend $10 and get $20 off coupon). I liked that they let you use the coupon towards anything on the menu including daily specials. We got 1/2 baked chicken with choice of potato, vegetable and rolls for $8.95. Sals' green beans are excellent--can't get enough of them! The regular priced dinner menu is a... More
